This contract position is designed for an innovative professional committed to supporting intermediate students with Mild/Moderate needs. The assignment will run from August 20, 2026, through June 10, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week (8 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). You'll work directly with a manageable caseload in a supportive environment that values collaboration and student growth.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Active California Teaching Credential (CTC licensure) required
• Experience supporting intermediate students in a Special Education setting, preferably with Mild/Moderate (M/M) needs
• Strong understanding of current educational best practices for SPED
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom culture

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and monitor progress
• Provide instruction that meets the unique needs of each student within the caseload
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and adapt curriculum as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development
