Litigation Associate

Torrance, California | Hybrid Working | $150,000 - $180,000 + Benefits A well-established international law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Southern California office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 2-6 years of commercial litigation experience , although strong candidates from broader civil litigation backgrounds will also be considered. This role offers exposure to sophisticated business disputes, direct client interaction, meaningful litigation responsibility, and a collaborative environment that supports professional development and long-term career growth. The Role Working alongside experienced litigators and support staff, you will handle a variety of disputes through all stages of litigation, including: Managing litigation matters from inception through resolution. Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda. Taking and defending depositions, including occasional travel as required. Arguing motions and attending court hearings. Conducting witness interviews and factual investigations. Preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial. Maintaining regular communication with clients and providing strategic advice. Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve successful outcomes. Candidate Requirements 2-6 years of litigation experience gained within a law firm environment. Commercial litigation experience preferred. Candidates from civil litigation, insurance defence, general liability, employment, construction, professional liability, business litigation, or other complex litigation practices are encouraged to apply. Experience in California state and/or federal courts. Strong written advocacy, research, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and caseloads effectively.
