Technology Solutions Representative

Overview Since 1952, Mustang has proudly served the construction, oil & gas, power generation, marine, and manufacturing industries as the authorized Caterpillar dealer for Southeast Texas. Mustang Cat is seeking a Technology Solutions Representative to drive the adoption, sales, and success of Caterpillar’s advanced machine technology solutions across our Construction Industries customer base. This is a high-impact, consultative sales role at the intersection of construction equipment and cutting-edge technology—ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, influencing customers, and delivering measurable results. You will serve as the go-to expert for Caterpillar technology, helping customers increase productivity, improve safety, and maximize jobsite efficiency through data-driven solutions. What We Offer Competitive base + commission incentive structure Company vehicle or allowance Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision 401(k) with company match Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time Tuition reimbursement & ongoing training Career growth with an industry leader Stability with a trusted Caterpillar dealer What You’ll Do Own the technology sales cycle – identify opportunities, build pipeline, quote, close, and follow up Serve as the subject matter expert for Caterpillar technology solutions, including: VisionLink & VisionLink Productivity Cat Grade (2D/3D) Systems Cat Command (remote operation) Cat Payload & Compaction technologies Cat Detect & safety systems Partner with Machine Sales Reps and PSSRs to uncover and develop technology opportunities Deliver compelling product demonstrations, jobsite evaluations, and customer presentations Consult with customers to recommend solutions that improve productivity, safety, and ROI Lead implementation and onboarding of technology systems post-sale Train customers on system usage, data insights, and best practices Analyze equipment and productivity data to help customers optimize performance Support troubleshooting and coordinate with service teams as needed Act as the bridge between customers, sales, service, and Caterpillar Stay ahead of industry trends, product updates, and emerging technologies What Success Looks Like Increased technology adoption across assigned territory Strong pipeline and consistent deal closure High customer engagement and satisfaction Measurable improvements in customer productivity and utilization Trusted advisor status with customers and internal teams What You Bring Proven success in sales, technical support, or construction equipment industry Strong understanding of heavy equipment applications or jobsite operations Ability to translate technical solutions into business value for customers Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability Comfortable working in both field and customer-facing environments Proficiency with technology platforms, data, and reporting tools Preferred Qualifications Experience with Caterpillar technology (VisionLink, Grade, Payload, etc.) Background in construction, GPS/machine control, or equipment technology Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Check out the Mustang Cat Anthem to see our mission in action!
