Accountant

Our client, a commercial electrical services company located in San Antonio is searching for an Accountant to join the organization. The company has a strong history of growth within the local market and does business throughout Texas. They are an employee owned company and have a great culture! This is a great opportunity to be the 'right-hand' to the company's Controller, and have the ability for long-term career growth! Job Duties: Perform daily and monthly general ledger accounting activities. Prepare and maintain accurate account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, balance sheet, and other assigned accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation. Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper account coding. Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements. Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable activity. Assist with construction job costing and review job cost transactions for accuracy. Review project costs, labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and other direct and indirect costs. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions. Assist the Controller with special projects and process improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience Construction industry experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Addison Group
