About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Information Technology Services to lead its mission-driven technology initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full IT operating budget, department structure, staffing, vendor relationships, security posture, and service delivery. This senior leadership role demands a strategic thinker who can ensure that technology reliably supports the organization's diverse operations, including shelter, housing, outreach, and administrative functions. The VP will also be at the forefront of the company's AI strategy, setting direction, prioritizing use cases, and driving adoption in partnership with various leaders. Key responsibilities for the VP of Information Technology Services at the company include department leadership and team management, IT operations and infrastructure, budget, vendors, and financial management, security, risk, and compliance, as well as strategic and executive leadership. The role requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a related field, and an advanced degree or professional certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, including network, server, and application management, and a proven track record in leading and growing IT teams. Experience in the nonprofit sector and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities it presents are highly valued. The VP will also be expected to stay current on emerging AI and technology trends relevant to the nonprofit human-services sector and to ensure that the organization's AI initiatives align with its mission and ethical standards.
