Job Description Medical Scribe Department Spine & Brain Surgeons Providence Medical Building 22250 Providence Drive Southfield MI 48075-4825 Work Schedule Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week) Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists provider by documenting the provider-patient encounter during the patient exam exactly as it is verbalized. Responsibilities Accompanies provider into the patient examination room to document the provider's encounter with the patient. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including but not limited to laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications. Documents procedures performed by the provider. Qualifications: Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
