Make a difference helping elementary students thrive! We're seeking an experienced ESL teacher for a contract assignment, supporting young learners eager to build their language skills. In this rewarding, part-time role, you'll work with a small caseload at the elementary level, providing targeted instruction for three students throughout the school week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current ESL teaching certification required
- Previous experience as a general education or ESL teacher, especially in elementary school settings
- Understanding of second language acquisition and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication skills with both students and staff
- Ability to foster a positive, supportive environment for young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging ESL instruction to a 5th grade student (30 minutes daily, Monday through Friday)
- Provide individualized ESL support for 1st and 2nd grade students (30 minutes each, three days per week)
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that accommodate each student’s unique needs
- Track student progress and collaborate with faculty and families to support learning goals
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and student growth
- Promote inclusive, welcoming classroom environments
