Job Description

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with workers' compensation referral processes. This role involves various responsibilities aimed at ensuring a seamless experience for patients in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office
Experience with medical insurance, workers' compensation referral processes, and benefit plans
Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CS-Link/Epic
Understanding of medical terminology

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for patient relations, assisting in person and over the phone
Greet patients and address their concerns, escalating issues as necessary
Check patients in and out, collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments
Verify patient demographics and insurance information using CS-Link/Epic
Schedule appointments and manage patient registration
Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types
Handle correspondence between patients and healthcare providers
Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients
Sanitize workspace using provided supplies in accordance with departmental guidelines
