Work Environment

As a member of our onsite team in a hospital setting, you will be collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing top-tier rehabilitative services. Our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and an array of resources designed to support effective treatment strategies. Your work hours will generally be Monday through Friday, with options for an 8 AM to 4 PM or a 9 AM to 5 PM schedule, including the flexibility of (4) 10-hour shifts. Importantly, we foster a healthy work-life balance—no weekend shifts required!

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, employing hands-on techniques and demonstrating therapeutic exercises.
• Guide patients through their rehabilitation routines, demonstrating exercises to enhance their strength, balance, and coordination.
• Maintain organized therapy areas, ensuring all equipment is in working order and ready for use, thereby contributing to a safe and efficient treatment environment.
• Document patient progress accurately, using electronic medical records to facilitate effective communication among the rehabilitation team.
• Engage patients in a positive and motivational manner, building rapport to encourage compliance with exercise regimens and overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic patients, who may be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions related to musculoskeletal health. This diverse population includes individuals ranging from young athletes to seniors, all seeking to enhance their functional capabilities. Your empathetic approach and commitment will be vital in helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or a related field.
• Current Florida PTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an outpatient setting, preferably within an orthopedic clinic.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 55,000 to 60,000, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
