Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Patient ratio 1:4. Highlights: Specialized neurological progressive care unit with stroke and neurosurgery patient population Epic electronic medical record system utilized throughout organization Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more Adult patient population with focus on neurological diagnoses including CVA, craniotomy, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery care Advanced procedures including TNK administration, lumbar drains, and post-TPA care Float opportunities to expand clinical experience across multiple units within the organization Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Epic electronic medical record experience required Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission) Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Strong neurological nursing skills including management and interpretation of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, heparin protocols, and isolation precautions Ability to float to different units as needed Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal leadership) Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a specialized neurological patient population in a progressive care environment supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team.
