Human Resources Representative

HR RepresentativeThis role is responsible for supporting various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll and compliance. The HR Representative is pivotal to proactive communication and fostering a positive workplace culture.KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.Facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation sessions and documentation.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems.Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and responding to employee inquiries.Serve as a point of contact for employees' questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives and company events.Assist in coordination of training and development initiatives.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Assist with performance management processes and employee development programs.Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:1–3 years of experience in an HR support role.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and social media platforms.Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) required.Preferred Skills:Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS).Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND SCHEDULE:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.
