As a Processing Crew Lead at Vital Farms This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in bridging the gap from local family farms to grocery stores for our consumers. You’ll be on your feet during each twelve-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading and working with air‑conditioned and sunlight‑filled warehouse. But here at Vital Farms, we hope you will join our crew and help us change the world 108 square feet at a time! 2-2-3 schedule: Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off Shifts: Day Crew – 6am to 6pm Pay Rate: Day Crew- $22.25 per hour What You'll Do: Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedule Set daily / weekly / monthly objectives and communicate to employees Lead and develop operators, creating equipment and system ownership Work directly with shift supervisors and managers to regulate production and meet goals Evaluate job performance of operators Ensure all personnel safety and food safety procedures are followed rigorously Drive continuous improvement of waste elimination Anticipate problems and make quick decisions under time pressure Must be able to perform all jobs on the lines and be able to coach others in work Lead daily direction setting meetings when required Provide verbal and/or written recommendations to supervisor concerning problems or issue What You Bring to the Table: Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality reasons 1 year of work experience in a production and or manufacturing environment You’re able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs You’re committed to following all personal safety requirements rigorously. Be flexible and execute other duties and production tasks required. Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, basic division) Ability to work without direct supervision Able to be certified to operate a forklift or pallet jack Able to perform quality/procedural checks as well as operate equipment. Proven experience in leadership/supervisory roles. Strong people skills and ability to deal with all levels of employee and management groups. both on site and remote. #J-18808-Ljbffr
