Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position requires a dedicated professional who is ready to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver patient-centered care for individuals in the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
Monitor patient progress and vital signs, ensure accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, observing for potential side effects and responding accordingly.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies.
Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for day shifts, with a scheduling format of 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. While block schedules are approved, they are not mandatory.

Staffing and Ratios

The unit maintains a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5, ensuring optimal patient care and support.

Qualifications

Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of one prior contract as a seasoned traveler is required.
Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Dress Code

The dress code for licensed nursing personnel includes solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire, while unlicensed personnel are required to wear solid hunter green uniforms. Print tops are not acceptable, with exceptions for specific departments.

Parking

Parking is available at no cost in unrestricted spaces within employee/visitor parking lots.
