Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid Compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Seasoned traveler required with at least one completed contract. Experience floating to different acute care units required. Description: This position requires a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse. The nurse will work in a short-term acute care facility with 379 staffed beds, and it is a Level II Trauma Center. Nurses will be expected to float between various acute care units when necessary. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, with an expectation to cover six weekend shifts within a six-week scheduling period. The daily patient census is approximately 27 patients with an average patient ratio of 1:5. Candidates must be proficient in various essential nursing skills, including blood product administration, central line care, and telemetry monitoring. Specialized knowledge in managing dysrhythmias and using rapid response/code teams is necessary. Ability to provide care for adult and geriatric populations is required. Interdisciplinary support services available include physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. References are required covering at least one year within the last three years. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities if required.
