Position Summary

\n

The Senior Financial Analyst is a core member of the FP&A team, responsible for forecasting, planning, reporting, and decision support across the business. Reporting directly to the VP of FP&A, this role owns key models and analyses that drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), and monthly close, while partnering with Sales, Operations, and leadership to translate data into action. The ideal candidate is highly technical in Excel and SQL, fluent in CPG economics, and energized by the opportunity to leverage emerging AI tools to automate and elevate the finance workflow.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n

Forecasting, Planning & Modeling

\n

\n
• Build and maintain driver-based financial models for revenue, gross margin, and operating expense across product lines and channels.
\n
• Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and multi-year Long Range Plan (LRP), including stretch scenarios for sales and EBITDA
\n
• Develop PPG-level forecasts and scenario tools for key cost categories, including distribution and freight spend
\n
• Partner with Sales leadership to build and refine account-level planning templates and bottoms-up volume forecasts.
\n

\n

Reporting & Analysis

\n

\n
• Own monthly close reporting, including variance analysis to budget, forecast, and prior year, with clear narratives on the drivers behind the numbers.
\n
• Prepare and present performance reviews and decision-support analyses for finance and functional leaders
\n
• Identify risks and opportunities across the P&L and proactively surface insights to leadership.
\n

Data, Automation & AI

\n

\n
• Build, maintain, and enhance robust data models using Excel Power Pivot, Power Query, and SQL to consolidate data from multiple source systems.
\n
• Continuously improve reporting accuracy and efficiency through automation and standardization.
\n
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, streamline workflows, and generate enhanced insights.
\n

Business Partnerships

\n

\n
• Build strong relationships across Sales, Operations, and Accounting to act as a trusted strategic partner.
\n
• Support month-end close in partnership with Accounting, including accruals, journal entries, and GL review.
\n
• Perform other duties and ad hoc analyses as assigned by management.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n

Required

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
\n
• 4+ years of progressive FP&A, finance, or analytics experience.
\n
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex modeling, pivot tables, and Power Pivot / data modeling.
\n
• Hands-on SQL experience for querying and managing data from multiple sources.
\n
• CPG industry experience, with a strong understanding of revenue, trade, and margin drivers.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and a continuous-improvement mindset.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make numbers make sense to non-financial audiences.
\n

• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
\n
• Familiarity with emerging AI tools and their application to finance workflows.
\n
• Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g.,Power BI).
\n
• Exposure to retail, club, and e-commerce channel dynamics.
\n
