Lead Welder / Fitter - Ship Repair

Job Description

CTR Group is seeking a Lead Welder / Fitter for a Shipyard in the Pascagoula, MS, area.

- Competitive hourly rate of $34 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 4 years of shipyard experience OR equivalent combination of training and experience in industrial welding/fabrication.
Proficiency with Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch and Air Carbon Arc Gouging.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations relevant to shipbuilding and industrial safety.
Ability to use fillet and butt weld gauges accurately.
Skilled in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GMAW-P welding processes.

Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced, industrial shipyard environment
- Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and extreme temperatures
- Physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials and equipment
- Flexible schedule, including the potential for overtime and weekend work
