Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Registered Nurse - Orthopedics / Neuro-Spine / Med-Surg

Schedule: 12-hour nights

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks or longer
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in orthopedics
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Required certifications: BCLS (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale
• Required clinical skills: IV starts, telemetry monitoring/experience, orthopedic/post-op care
• Preferred: ACLS, charge nurse experience, Level I trauma exposure

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic, neuro-spine, and med-surg post-surgical patients.
• Manage high post-operative pain and mobility needs proactively.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery process.

Compliance / Notes:

• Strict attendance/RTO expectations.
• Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (no holidays); no RTO during the first week.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Required pre-start modules (acute ~8-10 hours; non-acute ~4-5 hours) to be completed online before start.
