Our well known healthcare client is looking for a Clerk II for a 6 month contract. This is for their offices in Carmel Valley and also Garfield Specialty Center in San Diego, CA This is a chance to use your skills in a well recognized medical provider within their dermatology department. It's within Cosmetic services there in their Dermatology department.

Contract Duration: 6 months and may extend - The position is temporary through the end of the year but potential for extending contract based on performance and team fit.

Required Skills & Experience

· Any Travel for this role?: Yes between Carmel Valley (No. San Diego County) and Garfield Specialty Center, it's helpful they have a drivers lic/car due to the travel • Required Level of Education and Preferred Level of Education: HS Diploma required • How many years of related experience are you looking for in your ideal candidate? 2+ years of healthcare setting and cosmetic services preferred • Specific Systems Knowledge Required: Epic and Microsoft Preferred

What You Will Be Doing

The position is home based in a medical office building in Carmel Valley, CA – near Del Mar. Cosmetic Services is a subspecialty within Dermatology so while the office is small, the department is large. Their working environment consists of 2 medicals assistants, another SR, 1-3 providers (MD, RN, esthetician) This clinic clerk role consists of: Checking in/out for patients, Scheduling future appointments, Electronic payment collection before/after visit, Product sales (sunscreen to skincare), Phones/scheduling The clinic clerks are their own call center, and the need now is 1 full time clinic clerk. Training is in Carmel Valley at 40hrs/week. There are opportunities for cross training in Dermatology.

Duties include

Performs general filing duties including sorting and filing materials, correspondence, records, business forms or other materials according to an alpha, numeric, date, subject or color-coded system. Has the ability to use basic office equipment including photocopy machines, facsimile machines, binding machines, etc. Proofreads documents, completes forms, and performs basic mail distribution activities. Produces lists, labels, forms or other documents. Counts documents, materials, etc, and groups into batches; tabulates batch totals. Reviews content of documents to determine correct filing. Checks manual files for duplicate, missing or misfiled items. Prepares filed materials for storage. Destroys documents according to guidelines. Requires knowledge of proper grammar.
