We are seeking a motivated, outgoing, and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team and help expand our managed IT services business. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is focused on outbound pipeline generation in the Managed IT Services and Security Services sector. The SDR will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, initiating conversations, qualifying business needs, and scheduling qualified opportunity meetings for the sales team. The SDR is responsible for the first 3 stages of a sales cycle: lead, prospect, and opportunity. Core responsibilities to develop leads will include [but not limited to] cold calling, multi-channel outreach, business research, referral partnerships, networking, sales tools, and CRM tracking. The SDR role requires the ability to learn and understand our services at an introductory level and recognize when a prospect may be a good fit for our services. A willingness to travel within the DMV and surrounding area and a passion for connecting with people are key to succeeding in this role. The ideal candidate enjoys engaging in meaningful conversations with business owners, executives, IT leaders, and decision makers, attending networking events, representing our organization at business functions, and identifying businesses that may benefit from Managed IT, security, and related services. Key Responsibilities : Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Managed IT services market within the DMV and surrounding area. Research prospective clients and identify business that may benefit from our services. Conduct outbound prospecting through cold-calls, multi-channel outreach, networking, referral partnerships, and other approved sales tools. Engage business owners, executives, IT leaders and other decision makers to introduce Sequentur and uncover potential business and technology needs. Qualify prospects based on company size, current IT environment, service needs, timing, decision-maker involvement, and overall fit for Sequentur’s services. Schedule qualified opportunity meetings, ensuring meetings are booked with appropriate stakeholders and have a legitimate business need for our services. Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and pipeline information in the CRM. Follow a structured outreach cadence and consistently follow-up with prospects. Collaborate with sales leadership to refine messaging, improve conversion rates, and identify which outreach activities are producing the best opportunities. Learn Sequentur’s services well enough to speak credibly at an introductory level. Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote our services and expand the company’s presence in the market. Qualifications : 2+ years of outbound B2B sales experience in the IT services or technology sector preferred. Proven ability to generate leads, identify decision-makers, and qualify prospects. Strong communication, listening, relationship building, and follow-up skills. Comfortable making cold calls and conducting consistent outbound activity. Ability to handle rejection, remain persistent, and maintain a positive attitude. Ability to build rapport with prospects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools, ConnectWise and HubSpot a plus. Willingness to travel within the DMV area. What We Offer : $65-70k base salary plus commission. Excellent commission potential and plenty of room for growth.
