HR Generalist / Recruiter

Phiston Technologies designs and manufactures high-security data destruction equipment — shredders, disintegrators, and degaussers — used by enterprise customers, hyperscale and colocation data centers, and ITAD providers worldwide. We're a growing manufacturer with operations in South Florida, Northern Virginia, and Europe. About the role This is a hands-on role for someone who can own full-cycle recruiting while serving as the day-to-day HR presence for our teams. This role is on-site in our Miramar office. Recruiting is the near-term priority — we have a large, active pipeline of open roles across engineering, operations, quality, service, and finance in both Florida and Virginia. We need someone who works the funnel actively: sourcing, screening, tracking, and closing, not posting a job and waiting. As hiring normalizes, the role shifts toward the people side: knowing our employees, supporting managers, and building the HR practices that keep a growing manufacturer running well. We're looking for someone who genuinely wants both halves, not a recruiter waiting out the HR work. What you'll do Own full-cycle recruiting for high-volume, multi-site hiring across technical and non-technical roles Source and proactively screen candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, ZipRecruiter, Indeed, and direct outreach Maintain disciplined ATS hygiene — every candidate logged, dispositioned, and tracked so pipeline status is always accurate and reportable Partner with hiring managers to define requirements up front and keep alignment through offer Report accurate, current requisition and pipeline status to leadership HR operations and employee support Be a visible, approachable presence across our Florida and Virginia sites — someone employees know and go to Own new-hire onboarding end to end, including completing I-9 verification in our HRIS on the employee's first day, without exception Partner with managers on performance conversations, coaching, and documentation Handle employee relations issues with discretion and sound judgment Administer HRIS/PEO (Paychex): new hires, changes, terminations, benefits enrollment and open enrollment Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with federal and Florida employment requirements Support retention, engagement, and offboarding What we're looking for 5+ years in an HR generalist and/or recruiting role, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, or field-services environments Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience with multiple concurrent requisitions Genuine interest in the employee-facing side of HR, not just filling requisitions Working knowledge of I-9/E-Verify, FLSA, and standard federal/state employment compliance Strong, direct communicator — responsive, gives clear answers, and follows through without needing to be chased Comfortable operating with autonomy in a small, fast-moving company Compensation and benefits $75,000–$100,000 base salary, depending on experience 401(k) with 100% company match up to 6% Medical, dental, and vision — effective after 60 days Paid holidays, PTO accrual, and floating holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Phiston Technologies
