Production Technician

Production Technician We are actively seeking dependable and detail-oriented Production Technicians for full-time 1st shift manufacturing opportunities in Erie, PA. Composites Technicians work with specialized materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, resins, adhesives, foam, and other composite materials to manufacture high-quality molded components. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable learning specialized manufacturing processes. Previous composite manufacturing experience is beneficial, but candidates with related production, assembly, fabrication, or hands-on manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cut, lay up, assemble, and process composite materials according to job specifications Work with fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, resins, adhesives, foam, and related materials Read and follow job travelers, engineered drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications Accurately record serial numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, quantities, and other required production information Complete job travelers, move tickets, traceability records, and other required documentation Prepare and assemble foam, core materials, and components using approved adhesives and processes Hand-cut and trim composite materials to required dimensions Operate resin pumps and equipment used in resin infusion processes Assist with lay-up and molding processes Use standard measuring tools to verify dimensions and specifications Perform visual inspections of materials and completed components Inspect cured composite parts for defects, inconsistencies, or quality concerns Perform required equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow established safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age Strong attention to detail Ability to read and follow written work instructions and engineered drawings Basic computer skills Basic math and measurement skills Ability to accurately complete production and traceability documentation Ability to learn specialized composite manufacturing processes Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Preferred Skills: Previous composite manufacturing experience Manufacturing, production, assembly, or fabrication experience Experience working with fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, resins, or adhesives Familiarity with resin infusion or molding processes Experience with hand tools and basic assembly techniques Ability to read prints and engineered drawings Experience using standard measuring equipment Understanding of manufacturing shop workflow Familiarity with PDM Works Experience completing production or quality documentation Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or sit for extended periods Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements Manual dexterity for cutting, positioning, assembling, and handling composite materials Ability to lift and move materials and components as required Good corrected vision for detailed assembly and visual inspection Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday Ability to safely work with resins, adhesives, composite materials, and manufacturing equipment Ability to wear required personal protective equipment What We Offer: Full-time 1st shift opportunity Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off On-the-job training Opportunities to develop specialized manufacturing skills Opportunities for advancement Stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment Start an exciting new career in advanced manufacturing with a company you can grow with Apply today!
