Pediatric Primary Care Physician - Developmental and Behavioral (30260) (New York)

Position Summary

Pediatric Primary Care Physician - Developmental and Behavioral at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Location: Metropolitan – New York, NY 10029. Full‑time, shift 1. Salary: $236,000 to $241,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations, counseling, and treatment for children, adolescents, and their families with developmental and behavioral difficulties, including dyslexia, writing difficulties, math disorders, and other school‑related learning problems.
• Conduct relevant physical, developmental, and emotional‑behavioral evaluations of children/adolescents between the ages of newborn and 21 years.
• Conduct specialty assessments as needed (e.g., genetic dysmorphology, motor functioning, feeding/diet, sleep).
• Meet with leaders of the child and adolescent behavioral health team to discuss complex cases and assist in developing specialized assessment and treatment programs.
• Work with schools, preschools, and other agencies involved with developmental care and education to advocate for patients.
• Provide standardized diagnostic assessments for autism and specialty assessments for ADHD and anxiety.
• Provide direct education to residents, medical students, allied health providers, and junior members of the medical staff.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Active or Eligible for a New York State Medical License.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Base Salary: $236,000 (board eligible) or $241,000 (board certified) based on a 40‑hour work week.
• Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• Estimated annual total compensation: $355,120 (board eligible) or $360,620 (board certified), including bonus and other factors.
• $55,520 estimated for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours per week.
• Projected bonus up to $40,000 based on previous year’s average, contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
