Shift Information

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team in the healthcare field. The selected individuals will be required to float across multiple facilities within the organization as needed. The position involves working four weekend shifts in a four-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend.

Qualifications and Requirements

• AHA BLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Medical/Religious exemptions for COVID-19 vaccine required
• Previous charge experience is preferred
• 2+ years of concurrent experience in the specialty area is required
• Experience with EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner necessary for the last 6 months
• Strong patient ratio management skills
• Registered Nurse license in California at the time of submittal (Temp or Perm, no EMSA)
• Availability for an interview within specified time frames
• One supervisory-level reference required

Patient Care and Unit Details

Candidates may be required to float to like units or lower acuity units (excluding the Emergency Department) across five hospitals within the system. Additional requirements may include:

• Interdisciplinary support
• Various patient diagnoses
• Special procedures and equipment usage

General Information

Candidates who have worked in San Diego for the last 9+ months will be considered local and are not eligible for submission. There is a one-year waiting period to return after leaving the position, and extensions are possible for a maximum of one additional year, followed by a one-year waiting period to return.

Additional Notes

• Modules are non-billable; completion of assigned modules is required by the following Friday.
• Float requirements may vary based on unit needs; candidates may need to discuss float capabilities during the interview.
