Senior Manager, Business Development

Working Location: Massachusetts, Westborough; Pennsylvania, Center Valley Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid The Senior Manager, Business Development reports to the VP Business Development and has the primary task of supporting the team to identify, assess and execute business development opportunities to support achievement of the business strategies through execution of strategic partnerships, investments, licensing, merger or acquisition by Olympus. The Senior Manager, Business Development will support other business development team members to develop business cases, financial models, perform market research, and help manage cross-functional teams in support of the diligence/investigation of prospective opportunities. The chosen individual must have a strong understanding of fundamental business functions and be able to demonstrate credible and strong organizational, modeling, analytic and conceptual skills in support of assigned projects. This individual will be expected to develop and maintain an understanding of current market trends and propose strategic frameworks to achieve business goals. The Senior Manager, Business Development will be a difference maker who thrives on challenge in a results-driven culture and will possess strong interpersonal skills to represent the company in front of internal and external business partners. The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in this location is $137,657.00 - $192,722.00 per year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Job Duties Work with the VP of Business Development and Directors of Business Development to support productive interaction with leadership to define strategic requirements and associated partnership or acquisition opportunities. Collaborate with Business Unit Marketing teams on Strategic Plans and support development of Business Cases for identified opportunities. Perform competitor, market, and internal analyses to identify, and recommend Business development opportunities. Develop and manage the appropriate list of target M&A candidates. Build a strong understanding of target markets and customer groups through a range of sources. Maintain current knowledge of technology developments, trends, and the competitive environment. Develop strong core models (financial, valuation, etc.) relevant to partnership or acquisition opportunities. Support effective organization, management, and completion of due diligence of business development projects. Attend industry meetings and conferences to generate potential leads/opportunities for Olympus. Job Requirements BS in business, accounting/finance, engineering, decision sciences, management science, economics or related quantitative field required. MBA preferred. Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience, in the healthcare market. Business development experience, in the healthcare market, preferred. Effective and efficient problem solving and analytical skills required. Hands‑on proficiency with spreadsheets, Excel macros, and the potential to use advanced decision support analytical tools (e.g., decision analysis software, Monte Carlo simulation, optimization) are critical. Ability to conduct market, industry, and company research. Ability to develop financial models and perform valuation of target companies.
