Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Clinic / GI)

Rockford, IL | Outpatient Clinic

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | No weekends or holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a clinic setting with a focus on gastrointestinal (GI) patients
• Perform nursing assessments, monitor patient progress, and document findings accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate and deliver quality patient care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families on procedures, diagnoses, and follow-up care instructions

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• GI or clinic nursing experience
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic environment
• Familiarity with GI procedures and patient populations
• Strong communication and patient education skills
