The Senior Superintendent will play a key role in managing Public Works projects in the South LA/OC region. This role involves coordinating with teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring project goals are met effectively.

Our client is a top 400 ENR commercial General Contractor with 50 years experience in the SoCal market. The team prides themselves on delivering high-end tenant improvement and ground up construction projects across Public Works, Education, and Healthcare while maintaining a family-oriented culture. The team are currently expanding the field operations team due to very healthy backlog into 2028 already, and are looking to hire a Senior Superintendent.

Description

The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for the following:

• Manage and supervise construction projects for public clients, ensuring timely and quality completion.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to maintain project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards on-site.
• Monitor project budgets and control costs effectively.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and provide regular project updates.
• Oversee inspections and ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Resolve any project-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain detailed records of project progress, including daily reports and schedules.
• Managing all field operations from groundbreaking through closeout
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
• Maintaining project schedules and driving production milestones
• Enforcing site safety programs and compliance requirements
• Leading weekly site meetings and progress reporting
• Working closely with Project Managers to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum
• Managing inspections, punch lists, and project turnover

Profile

• 10+ years of GC experience in commercial construction; $50M+ ground up experience required
• 5+ years of lead Superintendent experience
• Local to the LA/OC region preferred, though relocators will be considered
• Proficient in Procore or equivalent project management software
• Ability to create and execute schedule utilizing P6 or equivalent software
• Prior experience with internal team leadership responsibilities
• Strong relationships with local trade partners
