Role Description This full-time, on-site Residential HVAC Service Technician role is based in the Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul Area. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment. Daily responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance visits, responding to service calls, conducting system inspections, and ensuring all work complies with safety, building, and EPA regulations. The role involves communicating clearly with homeowners, explaining findings and options, providing accurate estimates, and documenting work performed in service software. The technician will also help identify opportunities for system improvements or upgrades, maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle, and collaborate with dispatchers, customer service representatives, and other team members to deliver an excellent customer experience. Qualifications Strong technical abilities in HVAC system troubleshooting and maintenance & repair for residential heating and cooling equipment. Experience performing preventive maintenance to improve system reliability, efficiency, and lifespan. Current or obtainable EPA certification and knowledge of safe handling of refrigerants and related regulations. Commitment to customer satisfaction, with clear communication, professionalism, and respect in every home. Relevant HVAC training or certification; completion of an accredited HVAC program or apprenticeship is preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to work in the field across the Twin Cities metro. Ability to safely lift equipment, work in attics, basements, and outdoor conditions, and follow all safety protocols.
