Flexible Administrative & Research Support (Temp/Casual)

About the Job The School of Public Health occasionally needs to hire employees on a temporary and/or casual basis throughout the year. These positions perform a variety of nonacademic and/or academic work responsibilities. Appointments Appointments will be set up as one of the following: Temporary: short-term, 67 workdays or less in a calendar year or Casual: characterized by schedules that are variable, intermittent, on-call and consistently 14 hours a week or less Pay Starting pay is dependent upon the selected candidate's relevant qualifications, experience, and internal equity and assignment of duties. Pay Range: $18 - $150 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience. Work Arrangements The University of Minnesota endorses a “Work. Duties / Responsibilities Administration Support Provide day-to-day administrative support, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence (50%). Provide general administrative and clerical support for School of Public Health faculty and/or staff which may include copying, scanning, typing and other operational requirements as requested. (50%). Research Support Collaborate with School of Public Health faculty and/or research staff to facilitate ongoing research (50%). Gather and analyze data (50%). Qualifications All required qualifications must be included in the application materials. High school diploma (or equivalent). Additional work experience, education, and/or certification requirements are based on, and cannot exceed, the qualifications for work performed in comparable UMN job classifications.
