Job Description: Assembler/Welder

Location: Walker, MI

Compensation

Starting wage is $17.00-$17.50 per hour, based on skill level and experience.

Location Note

This role is currently based in Walker, MI, with a planned transition to our Grandville, MI location in August or September of 2026.

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of an Assembler is to construct, assemble, and inspect components or products according to specifications, ensuring that production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. Assemblers play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by building products efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall success of the company's operations.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

1. Assemble components and products according to work instructions, blueprints, or schematics
2. Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
3. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery as needed
4. Perform basic troubleshooting and report any defects or production issues
5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace
6. Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment
7. Assist with general labor tasks such as material handling, packaging, or shipping as needed
8. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Education and Experience

1. Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or general labor is a plus but not required
2. Experience using basic hand and power tools
3. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
4. Strong attention to detail and quality control
5. High school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

1. Extensive standing, recurring bending as well as moderate to heavy lifting
2. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
3. Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Travel Requirements

1. This position will have limited travel

Language Requirements

1. Must read and write in English

Personal Protective Equipment

1. The use of safety glasses and hearing protection is required while in any manufacturing area

Work Environment

1. Exposure to hazards where failure to exercise extreme care could result in severe injury
2. Working in a safe manufacturing environment
3. May be working in noisy, dusty, greasy, or wet environments
4. Intermittent exposure to weather conditions
