Details Women's Hospital setting on a high-risk obstetrical Labor and Delivery unit with 24 beds Patient ratios generally follow AWHONN staffing guidelines: cervical ripening 2:1, triage 3:1, stable PP mag 2:1, unstable or laboring mag 1:1, pit or active labor 1:1, early labor 2:1 Uses GE fetal monitors Charting is done in Meditech and CPN Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, three 12-hour shifts per week Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis Floating to the antepartum unit within Women's Services as needed 13-week assignment length Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required BLS certification required Intermediate or advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring certification, or NCCEFM, required Current NRP certification (Advanced 9th Edition) from the American Academy of Pediatrics required Minimum 2 years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience required Experience in high-risk obstetrical bedside care, circulating in C-sections, and recovering high acuity patients required US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Perform bedside care for high-risk obstetrical patients including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, and post-delivery recovery care Circulate during C-section procedures within the Labor and Delivery unit Scrub color and grooming standards apply, including restrictions on artificial nails, extreme hair styles, visible piercings other than ears, and requirements to cover body art when feasible Facility standard attendance policy applies Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-745663.
