Consumer Direct Loan Specialist

Summary The Consumer Direct Loan Specialist performs outbound sales calls to explore customers' financial needs with a focus on building and broadening existing customer or business relationships using multiple Huntington products. Duties & Responsibilities Drives consumer lending origination and expands existing customer relationships through proactive phone‑based sales activities. Initiates outbound calls using multiple lead sources to introduce and originate Huntington products and services. Clearly communicates the features and benefits of financial solutions and provides qualified referrals to specialized partners, such as Insurance and Mortgage, utilizing available tools and technology. Uses effective questioning techniques to identify customer needs, explain product value, and recommend appropriate Huntington financial solutions. Consistently achieves an average of 80+ daily contact attempts through the leads management system. Demonstrates high energy, initiative, and a strong drive to achieve departmental production goals. Maintains thorough and current knowledge of Huntington’s products, services, systems, technology, and regulatory requirements. Adheres to all quality, compliance, and risk standards, and may support short‑term inbound call coverage or additional outbound calling initiatives as needed. Follows a disciplined and structured approach to outbound calling to meet productivity expectations. Effectively manages sales pipelines and tracks progress using established tools and processes. Completes accurate, thorough, and compliant loan applications. Complies with all Quality, Risk, Policy & Procedures, Learning Updates, and System requirements. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. NOTE This position is considered to be a Mortgage Loan Originator under the SAFE Act and Loan Originator under the Truth in Lending Act. Registration and additional qualifications required. Basic Qualifications At least 1 year of previous financial sales experience High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications 3 or more years of financial phone sales experience in the consumer lending and/or mortgage fields or business banking; related financial products and/or fields Bachelor's Degree Exempt Status Exempt Status: No (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay, No = eligible for overtime pay) Workplace Type Office Equal Opportunity Employer Huntington is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
