Job Opportunity: General Internist

Our organization is seeking a full-time General Internist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to provide primary medical care and engage in teaching. The Outpatient General Medicine Faculty Practice, situated in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, is recognized as a Level 3 NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home. It features a fully integrated electronic medical record system and a comprehensive transitions of care program. This role offers opportunities for teaching medical students, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and conducting health services research.

Our institution has positioned itself as one of the most vibrant public universities in the United States, excelling in health education, patient care, and research. The affiliated hospital serves as the only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center in the area.

• Required Qualifications:
  • MD or equivalent international degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Possession of a New York State Medical License or eligibility to obtain one
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a fellowship in general medicine or geriatric medicine, or a chief medical residency
  • Clinical experience in primary care

• This position is available on a Tenure/Non-Tenure Track basis.
• It is classified as an FLSA Exempt position, meaning it is not eligible for overtime pay.
