Radiology - Interventional Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join a well-established hospital-based IR team providing a broad range of vascular and non-vascular procedures in a high-acuity setting.

This opportunity offers a consistent Monday Friday day schedule , strong APP support, shared 1:3 call coverage , and an average of 8 cases per day . Ideal candidates will be comfortable performing angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, thrombolysis, biopsies, and UFE procedures while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Practice Setting: Hospital-Based
Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM

Call Schedule

Q3 weekday call (every third weekday)
Q3 weekend call (every third weekend)
Call ratio: 1:3 among Interventional Radiologists

Clinical Volume

Average of 8 cases per day
Primarily adult patient population, including a significant geriatric population
Level I Trauma Center environment

Procedures Required

The ideal candidate must be comfortable performing a broad range of Interventional Radiology procedures, including:

Angioplasty
Stent placement
Embolization
Needle biopsy
Thrombolysis
Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)

Preferred Experience

Additional experience with the following is highly desirable:

Orthopedic interventions
Gynecologic procedures
Urologic procedures

Team & Support

The Interventional Radiology department includes:

3 Interventional Radiologists
2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Dedicated department manager and support staff

Requirements Mandatory Qualifications

Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
Active Michigan Medical License (required at presentation)
- IMLC/Compact licenses are not accepted
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
NPDB Self-Query dated within the last 30 days

Highly Preferred

Clean malpractice history
Clean licensure history

Provider Preference

Local providers are preferred due to mileage-only reimbursement.
Travel providers may be considered if they can provide at least two to three weeks of coverage per month.
