Lead Human Resources Specialist (military)

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for managing regulatory compliance for military personnel actions, including assignments, promotions, separations, and the end-to-end processing of Joint awards. Resolves complex personnel issues while delivering expert technical advisory and quality reviews to staff and leadership. You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: providing authoritative guidance on military personnel assignments, transfers, promotions, separations, and applicable policies and procedures; managing and reviewing Joint military awards and decorations; processing award nominations, certificates, and supporting documentation; ensuring personnel actions comply with regulatory requirements; resolving complex military personnel issues; and providing technical guidance and quality review to staff, leadership, and management officials. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
