Sous Chef

Pay: $25-$30 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday | Off Monday and Tuesday Pickle Factory is seeking an experienced, dependable Sous Chef to support kitchen operations and help lead the culinary team. This role is ideal for a hands-on kitchen leader who can maintain food quality, keep service organized, and support the Chef with day-to-day execution. Responsibilities Assist with leading daily kitchen operations and supervising the culinary team Support food preparation, line execution, plating, and quality control Ensure all dishes meet established standards for taste, consistency, portioning, and presentation Help train, coach, and hold kitchen team members accountable Maintain organized, clean, and properly stocked workstations Monitor ticket times and step in wherever needed during service Assist with ordering, inventory, receiving, and product rotation Help control food waste, labor, and kitchen costs Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and storage standards Serve as a leader in the kitchen when the Chef is unavailable Qualifications Previous Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Lead Line Cook, or similar leadership experience Strong culinary skills and knowledge of professional kitchen operations Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Dependable, punctual, and available to work Wednesday through Sunday Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds #J-18808-Ljbffr
