Histotechnician II
Natera
Natera seeks a Histotechnician II to perform histological preparations for whole exome/genome sequencing in San Carlos. The role involves tissue processing, macrodissection, equipment management, and supporting laboratory operations with minimal errors.
Responsibilities
- Perform histological tissue preparations for sequencing with high accuracy
- Conduct macrodissection, slide preparation, and reagent qualification independently after training
- Monitor case processing to meet departmental turnaround time goals and troubleshoot issues
- Train staff on department procedures and provide guidance to new team members
- Document corrective actions for protocol deviations and collaborate with engineering and biodev teams
Requirements
- HT (ASCP) certification required
- Associate's degree or higher in histotechnology or biological/chemical sciences
- Two or more years of related histology experience
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and oral communication abilities
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
