COURT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR I The Superior Court of California, County of Orange is seeking a Court Operations Supervisor I. Salary Information Hourly Range: $36.71 to $45.67 Anticipated Starting Rate: $36.71 Benefits Highlights Defined Benefit Retirement Plan (2.50% at 67 formula) Choice of five medical plans Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Vacation and sick leave packages 14 paid holidays per year Tuition reimbursement Optional deferred compensation program (457 plan) Telework / On‑Site Opportunity The Court Operations Supervisor may be eligible for a combination of telework and on‑site assignments after 6 months of employment, subject to Court discretion. Telework must be completed from a pre‑designated home‑based location in California, and reporting on‑site may be required for business needs. Position Overview The Court Operations Supervisor I coordinates and oversees daily court operations, including supervising staff responsible for courtroom operations, case processing, and specialized areas. The position ensures compliance with court policies, oversees staff and assesses needs while providing guidance to maintain operational efficiency and high‑quality service to judicial officers, the public, and court staff. Administrative support to higher‑level management and related duties may also be performed. Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise daily courtroom and case‑processing operations. Ensure compliance with court policies and procedures. Assess staffing needs and provide guidance to maintain efficiency. Provide high‑quality service to judicial officers, the public, and staff. Support higher‑level management with administrative duties as assigned. Progressively take on a broader range of duties with increasing responsibility and independence. Required Education High school diploma or GED equivalent. Required Experience OPTION I: Three (3) years of full‑time (or equivalent) experience in a court environment performing duties in case processing, calendaring, or other court‑related duties. OPTION II: Three (3) years of full‑time (or equivalent) legal supervisory experience in a related legal environment such as City Attorney, County Counsel, District Attorney, Public Defender, Probation Department, or large law firm with 20 or more attorneys. Education Substitution Graduation with an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, criminal justice, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of required experience. Submit official transcripts for substitution credit. Selection Process Applications are reviewed for minimum qualifications and desirables.
