This position can present the motivated employee with several career options as the company grows and he/she gains expertise and knowledge.Level 1Performs visual inspections and physical tests utilizing equipment in Lab. Products are tested for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance or chemical characteristics.Records and evaluates test data and writes reports.Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.Enters data into computer for analysis.Prepares certificates of analysis on finished product for our customers.Able to use and read measuring instruments as well as operating instructions and procedure manuals.Trial reports, inspection and tracking.Assist QA and Technical departments in their duties.Must take responsibility for work assigned.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Support and follow all plant Safety Rules, GMPs, and other procedural training requirements.Level 2Able to meet all Level 1 essential duties and responsibilitiesResponsible for Complaint investigation process at minimum 1 per quarterAble to review, prepare, verify, submit and approve Supplier and Customer COA'sMust achieve Six Sigma Yellow BeltLevel 3Able to meet all Level 1 and Level 2 essential duties and responsibilitiesMinimum 18 months as a Quality TechnicianMust be On The Job Training Instructor (OJTI)Able to accurately analyze data in Laboratory Information System (i.e. Zontec, EI3)Wiki Farmers - Active as a Wiki FarmerKnowledgeable in Food Safety standardsActively participates in a Customer, Food Safety or ISO Quality AuditLeads at minimum one complaint investigation per quarterCompletes at minimum one corrective action per quarterParticipates in at minimum one process audit per quarterMust achieve ASQ CQILevel 4Able to meet all Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 essential duties and responsibilitiesProficient in a Statistical Software package (i.e. JMP, SPC for Excel, Minitab)Knowledgeable in Healthcare standards. Able to support IQ, OQ and PQ effortsLead & complete at minimum one Continuous Improvement project per yearAbility to fill in for Quality Supervisor or LeadParticipates in a Healthcare customer or System auditMust achieve ASQ CQTTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six-months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
