Location is Western US (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco areas preferred)Your Role:As a key member of the Customer Applications team, you will play a vital role in advancing our Biosafety business, specifically aseptic filtration, virus filtration and validation services. You will leverage your expertise in downstream technologies to collaborate with commercial partners and drive the adoption of our innovative technologies. Your strategic insights will be essential in developing initiatives that enhance Biosafety sales within your designated region. By working closely with Process Development Scientists, you will ensure a seamless customer experience, particularly for those testing and trialing our products.Your understanding of market dynamics and customer needs will enable you to identify strategic opportunities for growth. You will engage with customers both in person and virtually, presenting our expertise while addressing their specific needs. Your contributions will extend to developing and executing regional action plans alongside Field Marketing and Commercial teams. Additionally, you will act as a liaison, sharing customer feedback with leadership to shape our strategies and product offerings.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with commercial partners to drive the adoption of aseptic and virus filtration technologiesDevelop and implement initiatives to enhance sales in your regionAssist Field Marketing and Commercial teams in planning and executing regional action plansIdentify strategic opportunities for market share growth based on customer insights and market dynamicsDevelop credibility with customers and colleagues, and use all available tools to position the right product within your portfolio to win new businessExpertly deliver technical presentations to customers through both face-to-face and virtual interactionsPrepare and validate information required for prioritizing customer projectsAct as an ambassador for MilliporeSigma with a collaborative mindset, supporting the broader product range where applicableWho You AreMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor‘s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field5+ years of relevant technical experience in the life sciences industry along with sales and/or customer facing experience from prospecting to closureWell-versed in downstream processing of biopharmaceuticals, with experience in biological production, including monoclonal antibodies, VGT, recombinant proteins, plasma and other therapeuticsDemonstrate strong project management skills, adept at managing complex projects with stakeholders20-30% travelPreferred Qualifications:Masters or PHD is preferredExhibit a customer-focused mindset, coupled with digital agility and proactive, action-oriented behaviorProven expertise with sterile filtration and virus filtration products, and are proficient with demonstrating their use and implementing them into a biopharmaceutical processStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to build strategic relationships effectivelyPay Range for this position: $100,400-167,300The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
