Position: Manufacturing Engineer (Tooling)

Work Location: Sherrill, NY, 13461

Duration: Contract

Job Summary:

Lead the design and development of manufacturing, assembly, welding, and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks.
Create complete 3D fixture layouts, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings using GD&T.
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to validate fixture concepts, support trials, and resolve shop.floor issues.
Drive process capability and productivity improvements through effective fixture solutions.
Develop and maintain standardized work instructions incorporating fixture usage, operator guidance, and safety considerations.
Conduct time and motion studies to evaluate fixture effectiveness and establish standard cycle times.
Perform line balancing to align fixture design, workstation layout, and takt time requirements.
Support NPI and continuous improvement initiatives through fixture optimization, process refinement, and cost reduction.
