Job Description
- Advise clients on a range of real estate transactions and legal matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements, including leases, purchase agreements, and financing documents.
- Provide strategic counsel on real estate development projects and acquisitions.
- Conduct due diligence and risk analysis for real estate deals.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mentor junior legal team members, fostering professional growth.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and other legal proceedings as required.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in real estate law and industry practices.
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate should have:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted and in good standing to practice law in New York.
- Ideally around 10 years' experience in real estate law.
- A strong background in real estate law, with hands-on experience in transactions and advisory work.
- Must have substantial leasing experience.
- Exceptional skills in drafting and negotiating legal documents related to real estate.
- Solid understanding of legal and regulatory compliance within the Real Estate sector.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- A proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
