Within finance, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all vendors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. They will report to the Director of Payables.Specific ResponsibilitiesPerform day to day activities for the full payment cycleTrack, process and reconcile payments, purchase orders, invoices, statements, checks, refund requisitions etc., in compliance with financial policiesEnsure correct approval, sorting, coding and matching of invoices/receiptsContinuously improve payment processPrepare and process checks for multiple companiesUpdate and maintain vendor databaseAudit and verify integrity of expense reportsPrepare 1099s as neededQualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree in Accounting or related fieldProven work experience as accounts payable specialist or clerkStrong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsHands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationBest-in-class health, vision, and dental insuranceLife insurance, short-term and long-term disability, HSA, and FSAEmployee assistance program with a licensed social worker on staffGenerous PTO401k with matchPhone bill and pet care reimbursementsAnd more!
