EXCLUSIVE KCS PROJECT LOOK FOR CANDIDATES WITH STRONG API EXPERIENCE AND RETIREMENT DOMAIN EXPERIENCE THAT CANDIDATE WILL LIKELY GET OFFER Details: The Business Systems Analyst will support Schwab API integration and platform modernization initiatives by partnering with Product Owners, business stakeholders, technology teams, and cross-functional delivery partners to define, document, and validate business and technical requirements. This role requires prior hands-on experience working on API integration projects, including documenting API business rules, data mappings, integration requirements, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and end-to-end testing scenarios. The ideal candidate will bring strong general BSA capabilities, a solid understanding of Agile delivery, and the ability to translate complex business processes into clear, actionable requirements for technology teams. What You Will Do

Partner with Product Owners, business partners, architects, developers, QA, and integration teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for API-enabled capabilities and related business processes. Document API business rules, data mappings, request/response requirements, integration points, source-to-target data flows, system dependencies, error handling scenarios, and operational impacts. Identify and clearly document use cases, user scenarios, edge cases, and business logic needed to support new features, enhancements, conversions, and modernization initiatives. Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, sequence diagrams, journey maps, and detailed functional requirements. Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, PI planning, release planning, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies by providing clear requirements and timely clarification to Scrum teams. Collaborate with technology teams to understand impacted systems, data sources, API consumers, upstream and downstream dependencies, sequencing, and implementation considerations. Map requirements to test cases and support end-to-end testing, integration testing, UAT, defect triage, and validation of completed work against acceptance criteria. Support production issue analysis by helping assess business impact, document root cause, prioritize fixes, and identify preventative measures or process improvements. Create, organize, and maintain project documentation that is easy for cross-functional business and technology stakeholders to understand and use. Help coordinate work across multiple teams when initiatives span domains, systems, platforms, or delivery groups, escalating risks, blockers, and dependencies as needed. Required Skills & Experience

Previous API project experience is required, including experience supporting API integrations. Ability to document API requirements, data mappings, business logic, integration rules, source-to-target data needs, dependency diagrams, and end-to-end process flows. Strong general Business Systems Analyst experience, including requirements elicitation, stakeholder interviews, current-state and future-state analysis, gap analysis, story writing, acceptance criteria definition, and documentation ownership. Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, QA, architects, and business stakeholders. Ability to write clear user stories, split large stories into smaller deliverables, groom and refine backlogs, and support release and sprint planning activities. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex systems, uncover unarticulated requirements, identify edge cases, and connect business needs to technical solutions. Ability to bridge communication between business and technology teams, translating technical concepts for business partners and business needs for engineering teams. Strong documentation organization skills with the ability to create clear, structured artifacts that support development, testing, compliance, operational readiness, and long-term knowledge transfer. Experience supporting integrated testing efforts, including test case development, requirement traceability, defect clarification, E2E testing coordination, and UAT support. Ability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, and competing stakeholder needs in a large, matrixed enterprise environment. Preferred Qualifications Financial services, retirement services, recordkeeping, payment processing, operational transaction processing, or other highly regulated industry experience. Experience using Jira, Rally, Confluence, Visio, or similar tools for requirements management, process documentation, backlog tracking, and cross-team coordination. Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, legal, risk, or controls considerations impacting technology delivery in financial services environments. Ability to create process flows, activity diagrams, context diagrams, intersystem dependency diagrams, sequence diagrams, and journey maps.
