Chief Engineer

Job DescriptionResponsible for the overall management and maintenance of Torrance Campus' buildings HVAC systems, ensuring their efficient and safe operation. This includes overseeing repairs, preventative maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations, as well as supervising the HVAC team and coordinating with contractors. They also play a crucial role in optimizing energy consumption and implementing strategies to improve building efficiency.Pay: $78.49/hourThe pay listed is the salary range for this position. For information about ABM's benefits, visitMilitary and veteran friendly employer, veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply.Responsibilities• Oversee all aspects of the facility's critical physical infrastructure• Oversee the development and accuracy of site-level operating procedures and other documentation• Supervise and escalate as needed ABM's response to after-hours emergencies at assigned facilities• Manage the Change Management Program• Manage the MOP, SOP and EOP Program• Audit all CMMS databases for accuracy and completeness, produce reports as required at customer request, control system access and user credentials• Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures of assigned contracts• Manage the complete physical assets pertaining to the Operation and Maintenance of the critical and non-critical infrastructure equipment and systems• Resolve all electrical, mechanical and Fire Protection System issues in the facilities while minimizing risk and business impact and communicate issues to management and customers in a timely manner• Manage the customer relationship and act as the single point-of-contact for all facility-related issues, including schedules, new business, projects, budgets, expansion, and staffing• Set, review and approve employee work/PTO schedules; audit and process employee time and payroll• Manage access to the facilities ensuring the appropriate access control lists are maintained and reviewed regularly• Make space and power recommendations to the customer and manage power and cooling capacity and environmental conditions• Ensure compliance of Customer SLA parameters and Change Control activities, review and approve all system changes (set-points, thresholds, alarm-points, etc.) which could impact customer operations• Ensure that ABM training expectations are met and audit the process monthly• Identify, vet, and approve all sub-contractors who will perform work on-site• Develop PM contract scopes-of-work, ensure contract terms are fulfilledQualificationsRequired:• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience• Five (5) years of Team Management experienceEntry level Engineers with Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field and no work experience in PreferredQualifications:• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field with three (3) years of work experience is preferred• Without a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, seven (7) years of experience is preferredAbout UsABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world's largest providers of integrated facility, engineering, and infrastructure solutions.
