Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit specializing in abdominal transplant patients including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants
• Patient population includes transplant recovery, rejection monitoring, infections, acute kidney injury, hepatology, and GI bleeds
• Epic EMR system with telemetry monitoring
• Float requirements within the organization as needed
• First-time travelers welcome; candidates with only 1 year of experience will be subject to manager review
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown/IMC experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care, IV insulin protocols, accessing/managing ports, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with adult patient population
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
