Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | Projected Start: July 20, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 (up to 5:1 when stretched)
• Perform neurological and spinal assessments, including C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions and monitor patients on tracheostomy and patient lift equipment
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR
• Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of North Carolina
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Neuro and trauma care experience required — candidates without this experience will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong background in neuro and trauma care within a PCU or stepdown setting
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience with Skylift and patient lift equipment
• Team-oriented, patient-focused approach to care
