We will continue to expand our company by creating dining environments of intrinsic beauty and value.Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ is now hiring a Restaurant Manager for New Orleans!Job Description:The Restaurant Manager position provides assistance in managing the overall operation of the assigned restaurant on a daily basis including, staffing and training of all employees, enhancing their capabilities and fostering growth, as well as cost control, service standards, operational procedures and policies, customer satisfaction, sanitation, environment control, cash handling, staff motivation, safety and security by performing the essential job duties personally or through subordinates. This is our entry level management position, which will allow you to learn our business, while giving you the skills to operate one of our stores.Responsibilities:Oversees production of food according to sanitation and quality standardsManages and mentors staff, including recruiting/hiring/training of all employees, overseeing HR/payroll, managing issues of discipline/termination, ensuring ongoing training/education, etc.Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areasEnsures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly storedEnsures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policiesProvides timely and accurate reports as requiredAddresses customer concerns and issuesEnsures stated goals are metQualifications:Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a management position or minimum of 5 years working in service industry or a Bachelor degree in related fieldsA profound knowledge of restaurant operations (preferably for both Front of the House and Back of the House operations)Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysExperience in supervising and managing staffExcellent computer and Microsoft Office skillsExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenBenefits:Compensation package based on skills & experienceExcellent Bonus OpportunityOn-Going Career & Leadership DevelopmentMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsurancePaid Vacation and Paid Company HolidaysEmployee Discounts and free meals when you work
