Principal AccountantWe have tremendous opportunities for a Principal Accountant to play a key role on our Small Business Advisory (SBA) team with a focus on High Net Worth clientele. We have an opening for candidates residing in and around Buffalo, New York. As a highly valued member of our Firm, you will work closely with the SBA team to provide timely, accurate, and reliable completion of client engagements. Come join an organization that focuses on work/life balance for all of our employees!Responsibilities:Be responsible for developing and managing client relationships and to identify new business opportunities contributing to growth and developmentWork with an engagement to team to successfully service high net worth clients across a broad spectrum of businessTax compliance, research, correspondence and planningDevelop an understanding of our client's business needsReview and prepare clear and concise working papersWork on issues of diverse scope where analysis of a situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.Develop effective working relationships with internal and external clientsAssist with development and retention of clients, including the ability to cross-sell servicesAssist clients with special projects such as budgeting and cash flow projections, tax planning and sales taxDeliver projects/engagements on time, within budget and to client's satisfactionLead, train, and mentor staff inclusive of oversight on client engagements and providing evaluative feedbackRequired Qualifications:A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accountingCPA certification or EA certificationA minimum of seven years of relevant recent CPA firm experienceProven ability to provide mentoring and leadership to teamProven ability to develop and sustain business relationships for the purpose of increasing the firms client baseProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of Teams and OutlookWillingness and ability to travel as neededHours of Operation:Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through FridayOur summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Flex Friday scheduling available in accordance with firm policy and business needsWe pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak timesAt The Bonadio Group, we believe that an inclusive work environment allows all of our people to achieve their greatest potential and the greatest results for our clients and communities.
