Sterile Processing Technician II Schedule: Monday - Friday Shift: Evening (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) Location: Memorial Hospital Belleville GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!! Do you have a strong eye for detail? Our Sterile Processing Department at Memorial Belleville is looking to add a Sterile Processing Technician II to our outstanding team! In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient care. This position requires a high level of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork. Qualifications Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (required) Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Role Purpose Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including preparing equipment and supplies for use by the medical team, cleaning and sterilizing equipment and reusable supplies, assembling case carts/trays and performing direct patient care as needed. Responsibilities Assembles and processes instrument sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule. Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers. Follows proper techniques and procedures to ensure the integrity of the sterilization process. Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation according to manufacturer and industry standards. Transports patients with any necessary materials and documents to treat or diagnose.
