We are adding a Senior Controller to our team at our Development Center in Lebanon, Ohio! The Senior Controller has a critical role in supporting financial performance and decision-making across our flavor manufacturing operations. This role will provide advanced cost analysis, margin optimization, and business partnering, ensuring cost control and transparency. It will collaborate closely with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to help drive growth and profitability - without direct people management responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Product Costing & Analysis
  • Calculate and monitor standard and actual costs for flavor products, ensuring accuracy in SAP and related systems.
  • Analyze variances (materials, labor, overhead) and provide feedback to Operations, Pricing and R&D.
  • Ensure accurate BOMs and routings in collaboration with R&D and Production, supporting new product introductions and recipe changes.
• Margin & Profitability Analysis
  • Perform in-depth margin analysis by product, customer, and business segment, leveraging global reporting tools.
  • Support Commercial teams with pricing, scenario modeling, and customer profitability analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for margin improvement through cost optimization, waste reduction, and process improvements.
• Financial Planning & Reporting
  • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, for total company and business segments.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, including KPIs, manufacturing variances, and inventory analysis, for local and regional leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with MANE’s internal controls, financial policies, and group reporting standards.
• Business Partnering & Projects
  • Serve as a Controlling partner for Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain, providing financial insights for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions at local and regional levels.
• Systems, Tools, and Reporting
  • Actively engaged in the S4/Hana upgrade of SAP.
  • Leverage SAP (CO/FI/MM/PP modules) and SAP Analytical Cloud (SAC) reporting for data accuracy, reporting integrity, and process integration.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide real-time visibility into performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes using digital tools and automation.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement best practices in controlling, cost management, and reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate provision of financial data and documentation.
• Other duties in support of company objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required, CMA a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in controlling, cost accounting, or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S4/Hana (FI/CO, MM, PP modules), Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Industry experience in flavor, fragrance, food ingredients, or specialty chemicals is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
• Experience working in an international environment is a plus.
